The Housemaids Secret by Freida McFadden
Following Millie Calloway who is hired as a housemaid for wealthy clients. As she spends more time there she starts to uncover secrets, the plot continues to develop as Millie is framed with murder and devises a complex and mischievous plan to escape these charges. Out of five stars I would give it 3 as it is able to provide intriguing and unexpected plot twists. I found it very enjoyable due to this, as well as exploring friendships and relationships, both the good and bad.
I would definitely recommend this book to those of you who already love Freida McFadden, have read or watched ‘The Housemaid’, or even if you are just looking for an enjoyable and easy read to keep you entertained.
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Set in the fictional town of  Maycomb, Alabama during the Great Depression. This story follows Scout Finch and her brother Jem as they observe their father Atticus Finch, who is a lawyer and recently decided to take up Tom Robinson’s case to defend him. As he is a black man who has been falsely accused of raping a white woman. Although Atticus faces criticism from the town he keeps his stance on this case. This classic is a must read as it explores the systematic racism of the time and the impact of social prejudice. Serving as a lesson to those now, of the consequences of wrongful convictions and racism highlighting the importance of society’s role in this matter.
If you haven’t read it before I would say it’s worth a read as it opens your eyes to the very real prejudice and discrimination many have to live with.

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin
This story follows Sam Masur and Sadie Green as they navigate friendship over three decades, starting with their encounter in a hospital, in which their love for video games draws them together and allows their friendship to grow. Through this plot you are able to witness how we , as people, develop from child to adult and how this affects your environment and the people you talk to. Together, they explore designing games allowing an insight into the process and how this interconnects with growing ambition and collaboration. Zevin is able to curate a plot which blends together gaming and literature making it a perfect read for those of you who enjoy both.
Out of five stars I would give this book five as it was beautiful to be able to witness friendship from a new perspective and to learn how interests can be the backbone of relationships. So I would definitely recommend this book to any of you looking for a new read which explores different themes and experiences that don’t occur in your typical book.
