Volunteer at Blackfen Community Library
The work of Blackfen Community Library is made possible by a team of great volunteers who work alongside the paid staff to deliver services for our local community. There are lots of opportunities for volunteering at the library including supporting staff with the library services and administration, organising book stock, being an IT buddy, helping with the regular groups/activities, helping in Rooted Coffee House and lots more!
If you’re interested in joining the team, we’d love to hear from you. Please click on the positions below to find out more and complete the application form. If you feel you have something to offer that doesn’t fit one of these roles then just chat to our Volunteer Manager – we are always looking for ways to expand what we do for the community.
Become a Friend of Blackfen Community Library
Help us keep improving Blackfen Community Library and Rooted Coffee House. We want to provide more for our visitors and local community but our current funding is limited. You can help. £25, a year, can help us continue to provide a great community hub, regular groups and events.

Donating Books or Jigsaws
We welcome all donations of new and good condition books or jigsaws. We will either add them to our stock or sell them on to help us raise funds for the Library. Please drop donations to the front desk during our opening hours. Thank you!
