Book Review: Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osmanย

We know Blackfen Community Library hosts many clubs but a Thursday Murder Club?ย  I donโ€™t think so! – Or I hope not! โ€ฆ. I found this book a light, enjoyable, yet clever mystery โ€“ quite witty and tongue in cheek โ€“ donโ€™t under estimate our elders!ย  This is Richard Osmanโ€™s, of the Pointless T.V. programme, debut novel and it is to be made into a film by Stephen Spielberg! I would highly recommend it!

Book Reviews: Jane Harper books

If you want to turn up the heat with your reading then the books by Jane Harper [in the library] are about the hinterlands of Australia where the scorched landscape is hostile and anyone who does not respect nature is likely to come unstuck. These are brilliant reads!!

Book Review: Fifty-Fifty by Steve Cavanagh

Twin sisters both accuse each other of murdering their father. It takes Eddie Flynn, one of the sister’s lawyers, to try to unravel the truth in this courthouse drama – but can he? Did he choose the right sister to defend? This book has all the thrills you would expect from a police investigation to the end in the court. I really enjoyed this and couldn’t put it down!
