Book Review: Sycamore Row by John Grisham

Seth Hubbard leaves a fortune to his housekeeper and leaves his family nothing. He posts a holographic will to a solicitor. The book centres around why he did what he did and there are so many questions that arise because of this. It does become clear at the end in an unexpected way! I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend this to everyone!

Book Review: Orbiting Jupiter by Gary D. Schmidt

The story centre’s around 13 year old dad, Joseph, who has a daughter that he’s never met, her name is Jupiter. After being in a juvenile centre for a while he’s placed in foster care on a farm in Maine. Will his new family help him meet Jupiter or not?
This story was heartbreaking and had you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I would 100% recommend this book to anyone who wants to see the reality of life for other people.

Book Review: Agatha Raisin – Beating about the Bush by MC Beaton

Private Detective Agatha Raisin ends up involved in another mystery and murder! She is such a warm character you can’t help liking her and hoping she finds out who did it! Agatha is like a mix of Miss Marple with a crazy lifestyle – including microwave meals, 40 a day habit and too much wine! She has a group of friends around her that live in her village that help to bring some of her chaos to order.

The whole Agatha Raisin series is a must for an afternoon fun read while drinking tea and enjoying a piece of cake!! Nothing too heavy but it will grip you to the end!
