I first discovered Fredrik Backman when I picked up and read ‘My Grandmother Sends Her Regards & Apologies’. These books are real treasures with a wonderful sense of humour and heartache in equal measure køb viagra. Fredrik has a unique way of communicating our feelings and the workings of the human heart. He also teaches us not to assume what we can see of someone is actually who they are, but to go deeper than first impressions.
‘A Man Called Ove’ gives a particularly powerful portrayal of what living in community can do. At first, they appear to be an unlikely group of neighbours to get along but they find a way forward through their differences. Ove faces many challenges and his story will surely make you love him. ‘A Man Called Ove’ was made into a film in 2015 and is great to watch but the book is the place to start.
If you choose either of these, I hope you feel uplifted and encouraged, but also a warning that you may shed a tear or two.
