Blackfen Community Library will be running the Summer Reading Challenge again this year, and pre-registration starts from Saturday 13th July, with the Challenge starting officially on Wednesday 23rd July and continuing over the summer.
The theme this year is Space Race, celebrating 50 years since the first moon landing and the aim of the Challenge is for children to read 6 books over the summer. We give out rewards for reading 2 books and 4 books, and then for reading all 6 books we give out a certificate and a medal.
